A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - Proverbs 18:24
At BBC, we do what we can to make visitors feel like family. We love to see new faces and meet new friends. So please make plans to join us. Here are a few commonly asked questions that may help you get to know us a little better:
What time do services start?
Sunday School - 10 AM
Sunday Morning Worship - 11 AM
Wednesday Evening Worship - 7 PM
How do I get there?
We are located at 2522 Gentry Memorial Hwy. in Pickens. Click here to view the map.
Where do I go? Where do my children go?
When arriving at the church, simply enter through the front doors of the church building, and there will be a greeter to direct you to the proper location.
Do you have a nursery?
Yes, but it is not staffed by church members. Mothers are welcome to use our nursery during services.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code at Bible Baptist Church. Most of our congregation dresses in traditional Sunday clothes for Sunday morning, meaning the men wear collared shirts and slacks and the women wear nice dresses. The attire is a little more casual during the other services (i.e. men in pullover shirts and jeans, women in slacks or jean skirts). More than anything, we want you to feel comfortable, so come as you are, and you'll be accepted.
What do you believe?
At BBC, we believe the Bible says what it means and means what it says. For a full account of our statement of faith, click here.
What type of Bible do you use?
For the sake of uniformity, we use the King James version of the Bible in both Sunday School and preaching time. If you do not own a KJV Bible, that's fine. We have Bibles in the pews and also display the Scriptures on the wall during the appropriate times.
What type of music do you sing?
At BBC, you'll be exposed to a variety of music, ranging from traditional hymns and Southern gospel to mild contemporary praise songs. Our main goal with our music is to lift up the name of the Lord, and that is accomplished through congregational singing, choir music, solos and singing groups.
